Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in AlUla

Arrive in AlUla and transfer to your accommodation. Transfer to the Old City, where you'll discover the secrets and stories of the famous Incense Route. We'll follow the thousand-year-old footsteps of merchants, admire local handicrafts, and enjoy a pleasant stroll. The day concludes with a dinner of traditional Saudi dishes.

Day 2 | Ancient kingdoms and desert forms

Today we'll head to the winter park, from where we'll head to Hegra, home to the most magnificent tombs dating back to the Nabataean era. There are over 110 monumental tombs, 94 of which are decorated. Hegra is the first site in Saudi Arabia to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dating back to the 1st century BC. This archaeological gem was once a vital trade route between the Arabian Peninsula, the Mediterranean world, and Asia. Next, we'll head to the Ashar Valley to see Maraya—meaning "mirror" in Arabic. Maraya hosts world-famous music and theater stars, as well as other events that are the talk of Saudi Arabia. At first glance, the building appears like an illusion surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs. The building is constructed from 9,740 reflective glass panels. At the end of the day, we'll stop at one of AlUla's icons—Elephant Rock. This elephant-shaped rock formation, 52 meters high, boasts a warm sandstone hue shaped by wind and water erosion over millions of years. The rock formation is especially magical at dusk, when the waning sun casts a charming, deep light on the rock. Here, you'll have some free time. There are small eateries serving hamburgers, sweet potato fries, hot and cold drinks, and sweet treats.

Day 3 | Oasis, viewpoints, and flexible time

Today's program features one of the most important discoveries in AlUla, a place that has captured the attention of the global archaeological community. This is, of course, the ancient kingdom of the Dadan and Lihyan civilizations, home to the famous tombs carefully carved into the red rocks. Over 2,000 years ago, it was the capital of the Dadan and Lihyan kingdoms. Next, we'll take a short drive to Jabal Ikmah, known as the "open-air library," nestled in a stunning desert canyon boasting an impressive collection of inscriptions, rock art, and petroglyphs. After this tour, we'll head to one of AlUla's viewpoints. There are several; we'll choose the most beautiful one for you, from where you'll have views of Dadan, the Old City, AlUla Fort, and the Oasis. In the evening, we'll have a farewell dinner.
